This exhibition is one of the key events commemorating the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s passing, bringing together 84 exquisite cultural relics from the 13th to the 20th century, curated by 11 prominent Italian cultural and museum institutions. The collection spans a variety of categories—including oil paintings, sculptures, ceramics, glassware, jewelry, and textiles—and is organized into six thematic sections: "Marco Polo and Venice," "The Missionaries’ Journeys," "A New Trade Landscape: Merchants, Jewelry, Textiles, and Porcelain," "Warriors and Martial Masters on Italy’s Eastern Routes," "Toward the Modern World: Measuring Time and Space Across East and West," and "Recreating the Legend: Marco Polo’s Contemporary Echoes."
The exhibition offers a vivid portrayal of Marco Polo and his expedition’s thrilling journey along the Silk Road, seen through their own eyes. Featuring a carefully curated selection of rich illustrations from "Il Milione," housed in the French National Library, the show systematically highlights the vibrant cultural exchanges and interactions that took place during Polo’s travels. Central to the exhibit is the theme "The World on the Silk Road," which forms the heart of this captivating display. It unveils a mesmerizing blend of romantic legend and historical reality, painting an evocative picture of the East—and revealing the profound fruits of cross-cultural dialogue between China and Italy. Ultimately, the exhibition underscores the enduring legacy of this legendary journey, shedding light on its lasting impact on our modern world.
The exhibition commemorates both the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s passing and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Italy-China strategic partnership, as 2025 also marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This enduring connection perfectly embodies the spirit guiding Italy and China in their multifaceted collaboration—spanning politics, economics, culture, and more—not only focusing on bilateral ties but also committing to fostering long-term dialogue on global issues, a commitment that aligns seamlessly with each nation’s growing international stature.
This exhibition was entirely managed by Tiandi Zhongxing, responsible for both the logistics and transportation as well as the on-site display. Leveraging their extensive experience in handling cultural heritage customs clearance and exhibition setup, combined with deep expertise in artifact packaging and transportation, they successfully delivered a stunning and flawless presentation of the exhibit.

This exhibition, "A Legendary Journey—Marco Polo and the World Along the Silk Road," has traveled from the Sichuan Museum to the China Academy of Art’s China International Design Museum. Throughout the entire journey, Tiandi Zhongxing was entrusted with the meticulous task of transporting and presenting the museum’s treasured artifacts. From carefully packaging these priceless relics to precisely planning the optimal transport routes, and finally refining every aspect of the exhibition design, the team poured their dedication into ensuring that each detail perfectly showcased the cultural significance of the pieces.
This time, Tiandi Zhongxing provided temperature- and humidity-controlled transport vehicles for the precious cultural relics, ensuring that environmental control measures were strictly implemented throughout the journey according to the national standards set by the National Cultural Heritage Administration, thus safeguarding the safety of the artifacts during transit.
Tian Di Zhong Xing (Guangzhou) Art Exhibition Co., Ltd. offers a comprehensive range of services, including: international and domestic transportation of artworks (including rare treasures), as well as cross-border transport between Mainland China and Hong Kong; customs clearance for artworks entering and leaving the country, including streamlined procedures within bonded zones; on-site support at art fairs held both domestically and internationally; warehousing and packaging services for artworks; bonded storage solutions for art pieces; and integrated services such as art insurance brokerage and trade agency—all delivered by experts in the art industry.
