The Guangdong Provincial Museum launched its summer special exhibition on July 15. "The Crown of Elegance: Court Life and Art in 18th-Century Italy’s Savoy Dynasty" , extending until October 19. This also marks the exhibition's global debut, bringing together 166 pieces/sets from the prestigious Savoy Royal Collection of Italy—every single exhibit making its first-ever appearance in China. The collection spans a diverse range of items, including coins, paintings, furniture, clothing, porcelain, silverware, fans, and more, presented through City of Honor, Splendid Palace, East and West in Mutual Gaze Three major chapters comprehensively showcase the court life and artistic trends of the Savoy royal family in the 18th century.
Additionally, the exhibition features a special selection of export artworks from the Guangdong Provincial Museum’s treasured collection, offering a unique perspective on Guangzhou Port—the very hub where “Chinoiserie” art first spread to the West—and vividly recreating the vibrant trade dynamics of the Maritime Silk Road. This exhibition is truly an unrepeatable artistic event, allowing visitors to virtually "travel back in time" to 18th-century Italian courts and experience the refined daily lives of Europe’s aristocracy—all without ever leaving home!
This exhibition is brought to life by Tian Di Zhong Xing, providing comprehensive art services and meticulously overseeing the entire process to ensure these Italian cultural treasures—masterpieces that offer a glimpse into courtly life during the 18th-century Savoy dynasty—are showcased in pristine condition at the Guangdong Provincial Museum.
To ensure the smooth execution of the exhibition, meticulous procedures are required—ranging from rigorous customs clearance applications for cultural relics, to carefully coordinated, safe, and efficient transportation plans, as well as specialized on-site services for artifact management. Whether it’s overseeing unloading at international airport aprons, assigning dedicated personnel to supervise the dismantling and securing of air-freighted crates, or utilizing temperature- and humidity-controlled, air-cushioned vehicles for transporting delicate artifacts, along with escorting shipments, handling temporary import/export clearances, and providing expert artifact appraisal and installation/removal services—each step demands utmost care and precise logistical planning.

Exhibition Prelude
This exhibition features 166 individual items or sets from the prestigious Savoy Royal Collection of Italy, spanning coins, paintings, furniture, clothing, porcelain, silverware, fans, and more. Each artifact vividly embodies a specific chapter in the history of the 18th-century Italian royal family—and each one is incredibly precious. This underscores the need for meticulous care and precision to ensure these irreplaceable treasures are handled with the utmost attention throughout transportation, unpacking, and installation.
From transportation to exhibition setup, Tiandi Zhongxing has established rigorous operational protocols at every stage. Similarly, when it comes to the environmental conditions of cultural relics, the company strictly adheres to the national standards for relic transport set forth by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, ensuring that environmental factors have the minimal possible impact on these invaluable artifacts.
At the most prominent spot in the exhibition hall hangs a royal tapestry measuring 5.5 meters long, titled "The Gallic Trophy Sacrificed at the Sanctuary of Athena." This masterpiece is also making its first-ever international appearance in China. Given the artifact's considerable age and massive size, the Tiandi Zhongxing team meticulously planned its high-altitude installation in advance—ensuring the exhibit remains perfectly intact, free of creases or distortions, and safely displayed for all to admire.
Tian Di Zhong Xing (Guangzhou) Art Exhibition Co., Ltd. offers a comprehensive range of services, including: international and domestic transportation of artworks (including rare pieces), as well as cross-border transport between Mainland China and Hong Kong; customs clearance for artworks entering or leaving the country, including streamlined procedures within bonded zones; on-site support at art fairs held both domestically and internationally; warehousing and packaging services for artworks; bonded storage solutions for art collections; and integrated services such as art insurance brokerage and trade agency—all delivered by experts in the art industry.
